Service Description: The photos are the locations of sites that were sampled as part of three studies undertaken by the Maryland Geological Survey to estimate the amount of sediment and nutrients delivered to the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and coastal bays by erosion of unprotected shorelines. The sampling locations and, therefore, the photos, represent three distinctive shoreline types: marsh, bluff, and beach.
